To Kristen!

Sunday was Kristen's birthday.  Some friends and I went out on Saturday night and we toasted her at midnight with a rousing "To Kristen!" and the clinking of glasses.  Toasting someone from afar is tricky but I think we made it work.  Even though we are 551 miles apart I still tried to celebrate her (mostly with the clinking of glasses).  Here's to a friend who is funny and smart.  She knows when to commiserate and when to make you quit feeling sorry for yourself.  From that first two hour talk freshman year about faith and family to this very moment, I'm quite thankful she's part of my life.  To Kristen!
