And We're Off...

Tuesday was the first day of the new semester for me.  I am glad to be back mostly because I'm a big nerd who happens to love school.  I'm glad that I'm getting slowly closer to my goal.  I'm glad that I have something to fill the calendar.  I'm glad that I still get to attend school.  I'm thankful that I've had the opportunity to attend a private college and graduate school and that my education has been shaped by some of the brightest minds in the country.  I'm thankful that my sex has not hindered my educational opportunities and that I am free to express my views without the threat of government intervention.  Our public education system in this country leaves much to be desired, but at least it exists.
